::NEWSLETTER JUNE

Noel Sanger :: Dissident Music

News :: June 2010

2010, Summer is here. And the beats keep coming. Noel Sanger and Dissident Music have kept somewhat quiet in the first half of this year, locked away in the lab, writing hooks and beats and melodies and lyrics, yet maintaining a respectable schedule with tour dates in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, and Miami among others, not to mention several appearances at the venerable South By Southwest (SXSW) music festival in Austin, TX and Miami’s yearly week of mayhem known as the Winter Music Conference. He tore it up in the Heineken Dome at this year’s record-setting Ultra Music Festival, bringing hundreds of new fans into the fold. If the perception has been one of relative quiet or inactivity, however, a peek behind the scenes reveals an entirely different picture- one of a veteran artist in the woodshed, developing too many new projects to count. And as the summer begins, so does the madness…

Noel Sanger Remixes Nadia Ali

Dance music’s premier vocalist, Nadia Ali, has asked Noel to remix her next single, “Be Mine”, and the response has been amazing! It hasn’t even been sent to any DJ’s yet, as it’s just been completed, however Ms. Ali, herself no stranger to top-notch productions, exclaimed, “I am totally blown away by this remix!” It will be included on her upcoming project and we will post a clip as soon as we are able to do so.

Noel Sanger Guestmix on Sander Van Doorn’s Identity Podcast

Sander Van Doorn, the number ten DJ on Earth if certain polls are to be relied on, has requested a guestmix from Noel for his Podcast, Identity. It was released only last week, on episode 32. Identity can be heard on radio stations around the world, as well as on iTunes or at www.sandervandoorn.com.

New Productions

Early in the year, Noel’s officially sanctioned remix of the 1987 pop-dance classic “Fascinated” by Company B was released, as was his rendering of AK1200 and CC Rock’s Drum’n'Bass rocker “Emancipate”. More recently, his epic progressive take on “Just A Taste” by Soul In The Machine was unleashed on EV Music with support from Tiesto and others, and this month his rework of Alucard’s “One In A Million” became the inaugural release for Canada’s Nueva Digital with broad support across the board.

After his stint working on some tracks off  the upcoming Ricky Martin album, Noel teamed up with the uber-talented singer-songwriter Ilana Harkavy, she of Gemini’s Edge (who debuted on Dissident Music last fall with “Strange Love”), and the pair have several songs under construction. Naturally, Noel is also remixing the next Gemini’s Edge single “Save You” for Dissident Music, and producing an amazing new single for the aforementioned Soul In The Machine. A new tech-house banger called “Zero Discipline” has also just escaped from Noel’s studio, setting the musical tone for the next chapter.

Noel also linked up with UK Drum’n'Bass act Cinematic recently, resulting in the super-secret “Built To Fly”. Set to be the lead single off Cinematic’s new album (still in production), it features Noel’s unmistakable vocals and songwriting. More may be forthcoming from this partnership as well; we’ll keep you posted!

It’s just a drop in the proverbial bucket of what’s been going on around here, but it should give you some idea of what to expect in the months to come. With high profile releases on the way, the Noel Sanger Production Machine set to high, a new mix-comp and an amazing release schedule from world class producers from all genres on Dissident Music, It’s clear that the revolution of 2010 is just getting started. Stay tuned for Noel’s coast-to-coast tour dates and his return to the European continent this summer!

As always, thanks to you for your continued support, and thanks to God for making all of this possible. We will see you on the dance-floor, somewhere, and soon!
